This statue is of Samuel Stone, one of the founders of Hertford in Connecticut, USA. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Stone
This old Verger's house is the oldest house in Hertford, it dates from 1450. It's currently vacant and up for sale or rent! You can buy it for 1.6 million. Any offers? Seems such a shame to have it standing empty but it would be quite a responsibility to own..
We found some lovely walks on Hartham Common. Dex had a great time swimming in the river Beane which runs along the edge of the common.
We were lucky as the sun was shining for our walk today.
We came across this lovely old 12th Century church, St Leonards, Bengeo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_Saint_Leonard,_Bengeo
We walked back through the terraces and over a small waterfall.
You are lucky with the mooring's you find! Hertford looks lovely, with some pretty walks and very old buildings. Hope you managed to dodge the showers today xx
