Audlem to Goldstone Wharf

Tuesday 14th August

The day started overcast. We started off together in Prairie and went through Adderley locks. I wanted to play lock keeper today so John was steering.

After the locks John walked back to the car with Dex. We would meet up again at Tyrley locks.

I passed through Betton and saw the friends we had met earlier. They had now finished the hazelwood canopy on the front of their boat.

 Back through Market Drayton.

I love the engine sound of the older boats, so much nicer than our engine.

Through the narrow cutting (I got stuck on the side at one point) up to the start of Tyrley locks. I waited for John to arrive.
He took over steering and I set the locks.

Another boat was coming down which was great.

We had help at this lock from these very cute 3 year old twins.

 Arrived at Tyrley top lock.

 Through the dark creepy cutting.
We found a good spot to moor at Goldstone just before the water point.
