Friday we cruised to Wheaton Aston then through the lock and turned round at the winding hole. Saw a kingfisher several times. Had dinner at the Hartley Arms at Wheaton Aston. The boat next to us had an African spotted owl on board and I got to stroke it which was a real thrill. Saturday we cruised back to Norbury junction, turned round and then went back to Gnosall. I cooked that evening on board. Lovely to catch up with them both. They set off Sunday and John Dex and I went home to Wales. We will be here for a couple of weeks.
