Monday 13th November
Another cold but dry day. It was really freezing especially when you are cruising along and not walking. I decided to wear my fleece lined trousers over my jeans with my thick padded coat, woolie hat, scarf and gloves! Comfort beats glamour every time in this game!
We set off about midday. John had already moved the car and walked back with Dex. I was in charge of clearing up and getting ready to leave.
The countryside really opened up with great views on both sides of the canal.
We liked the novel way that this front fender had been made out of old tyres. Recycling at it's best 😀
It only took a couple of hours to get to Foxton locks.
They've got a great statue reminding us of how the boats used to be horse drawn.
We found a good spot not far from the top lock. It's a lovely place to explore so we've decided to stay here tomorrow so we can look around.
