Had a good trip here, John did the locks and I steered Prairie. Did have a problem on the way as there was a nasty grinding noise coming from the propeller, John checked it in the lock and it turned out to be a bungee strap which had got caught. Amazing what you pick up in the canal!
Lovely day again today so nice to be on the move.
We took advantage of the weather and did some washing on the way and then hung it out on our rotary line. I think we have lowered the tone by having it on display on our mooring! 😀
We explored the village, it has 3 pubs apparently although we only found the Dundas Arms and the Blue Ball. Clearly a very wealthy area. They have a village shop, a bakers and a butchers as well as a second hand bookshop.
The church is beautiful and we also found a really old and interesting turnstyle!
Dex isn't too happy about all the visitors to the boat!
