Trip to Newbury

What a glorious sunny day for our trip to Newbury! We set off fairly early, my turn to steer. It was so hot I decided on the sunhat! Looking very serious in these photos, guess I was concentrating hard!

There is a swing bridge in Newbury and John had to stop the traffic and pedestrians to open it so I could pass through. You can see it in the background in this photo.

 We managed to get a lovely mooring right in the town centre.

Afterwards we walked back to Kintbury to get the car. Dex had a nice swim on the way!

Once we got back to Newbury and managed to find a free parking space, we popped in to the Lock, Stock & Barrel for a quick pint sat by the canal, so lovely.
