We decided to go to Market Drayton market as it was open on Wednesdays and we were pleased that we did! Bought some lovely cheese, pork pies, sausage rolls, home made lemon drizzle cake some marmalade and lemon curd. Yum! Also bought a fab pair of silver sandals for £10! 😀
Then we set off, I steered the boat and John walked alongside with Dex.
I loved this picture of the cows all having a drink.
The set of Adderley locks started just after this bridge so I pulled over and John went and checked the lock. There was a boat waiting to come out so I was glad I had waited.
Once that boat had passed I could go through the bridge. There was another boat in the lock so I waited for them to come out.
Mr Brookes is getting better at crossing the lock gates these days!
We were lucky at the next lock too as another boat was coming up.
Sometimes it's best to wait under the bridge until the next lock is ready. That way you can go straight in without having to moor up.
We found a great mooring spot right out in the countryside. We would be leaving the boat here for the weekend as we were going to Amesbury for a few days to stay with my brother John and sister in law, Maria.
Later that evening we had a visit from a whole flock of canada geese.
