Coventry

Friday 8th June

We decided to take the car into Coventry and have a look around.

We went to the indoor market which was huge. Then we came across a lovely church called the Holy Trinity church https://www.holytrinitycoventry.org.uk/ and had a look inside. They had some amazing stained glass windows. 

Then we went to the cathedral. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coventry_Cathedral The old cathedral is just a shell having been bombed out in the second world war. 

There is a new cathedral next door to the old one.

 We went to an art gallery where there was a whole section on Lady Godiva.

Finally ended with tea and cake! 😀
