We decided as it had been recommended by John’s niece Carol, we would visit Bradgate park https://www.bradgatepark.org/ especially as it was only 7 miles from Leicester marina. It was a glorious hot day and we spent a lovely couple of hours walking around and admiring the scenery. We weren’t expecting to see any deer as it was so hot and we thought they would be taking shelter in the woods but we did in fact see several and they didn’t seem at all bothered by our presence. Dex had a nice cool off in some of the ponds scattered around.
Dex was so hot bless him. He sat himself down by the map showing points of interest.
We came across a pond and Dex had a lovely swim and a drink. Such a welcome relief!
These deer weren't bothered by my approach, it was lovely to see them so close.
After we left the park we went for a pint at the local Badger's Sett pub - so needed on such a hot day!
